How to use Windows Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker is capable of importing your video from almost any camera or formats of:
Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv
Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma
This software is really limited as a software editor. Effects are limited, Titles and credits can be added but are also limited in what they can do. Exporting options are also quite limited.
Splitting and Editing in Movie Maker
You can split your video clips to chop unwanted parts out. This also makes it easy to build a story with different scenes and shots. When you split a clip it is divided. You can split the clips as many times as you like then trim parts out of then and piece them back together.
There are many ways to edit video and many other softwares.
Theres so many ways to do it, so many ways indeed, but the only way to do it is to do it properly.
