1. Panasonic PV-GS320 Mini DV Digital Camcorder GS-320

Simply the best for bargain hunters this Digital Video Camera has been on the market for a while now and keeps getting great reviews. Most of the footage examples on this site are shot with them and you can see they shoot good color. It comes with a remote and good the battery has good life. Advanced Pure Color Engine is a unique image processing circuit for 3CCD camera systems. It processes the colors Red, Green and Blue separately, giving excellent color quality and vibrancy. Helping get a great shot in this video camera is the Leica Dicomar lens, normally in much more expensive cameras, made by Leica AG a German manufacturer of fine cameras and lenses enjoyed by photographers all over the world.

Cons: Recording in low light conditions is poor. No mic jack for audio.

From hundreds and hundreds of reviews these video cameras never got a bad one. In fact professional video producers often commented that they had bought an extra video camera for family events and were astounded at the quality in comparison to their high end stuff.

2. Panasonic PV-GS500

Amazing camcorder that produces close to Broadcast quality video.

Panasonic PV-GS500 only weighs about 3 pounds and has a longer lens, than the GS320. The 3 CCDs and Leica Dicomar lens produce shockingly professional video. This real widescreen video quality is nothing less than spectacular. The upgrade is worth the extra for sensitivity in dim light with a better digital stabilizer giving you clearer sharper video. The GS500 comes with ProCinema shooting mode which is designed to give the widescreen theater appearance.

Although these cameras are still available The Panasonic PV-GS500 was discontinued in late 2006. The technology behind these digital video cameras outclasses all the other video camera manufacturers.

You should have good lighting for good quality recording when you take any picture more seriously.
