Pop Filters - Improving Audio input
You need to speak to a mic quite closely to get good audio.
The thing is if you speak too close to your mic you can
get popping
noises in your recorded audio caused by letters like P and T.
Popping noises are quite deafening when played back over speakers.
Many times popping sounds ruin a recording.
To prevent these we have something called a Pop Filter.
It acts like a screen and stops many unwanted noises.
Making your own pop filter is easy and an be achieved
with a coat hanger and stockings.
