Audacity is a great free audio software that's easy to use and will work on almost every computer operating systems. Some of the best things this audio editing software gives is an ability to adjust volumes with Compressor, Amplify, and Normalize effects. Remove static, hiss, hum, or other constant background noises which you will find you have to do regularly. It also makes opening and converting audio easier. Something you have to do regularly as well. Lets say you want to put a song on your video. Sometimes the song is in a format that your video editing software cannot use. So you have to convert it then import it. Rating 4/5
If you don't want to spend any money on an audio software and your just making home made movies this is for you. It has loats of feaures that high end audio mastering software has and it's absolutley free.
