Special Effects - Flower - Layers 2, 3 and 5
These flowers were originally an image that was chopped and manipulated in Photoshop. The white lotus was a picture that was imported into photoshop. The front leaves were then chopped of and made as an extra layer to be added later. The picture or photoshop layer of the flower was then imported into Premier Pro Editing Software.
Reflection Special Effect - Layer 2
The flower image was flipped, resized reshaped, and given a ripple effect. The Opacity was reduced on the video layer so that it wasn't so strong. This made it look more like a reflection and allowed the fish swimming underneath to be seen more clearly.
Special Effects used:
Transform Effect: Vertical Flip - The flower had to be flipped vertically so that it looked like a reflection.
Motion Effect: The motion effect was used to resize the flower and reposition it. It is not to hard to change sizes and positions of video clips with this effect.
Perspective Effects: Basic 3D - effects were added to tilt the image and give it a little swivel to one side.
Distort Effects: Wave Warp - This effects allow you to make water ripples through an image. You can choose the way the ripples move. The shape, height and width of the ripples and the frequency of them.
 Actual Flower Special Effect - Layer 3
This was the actual flower used. It was laid on top of the reflection layer.
Special Effects used:
Motion Effect: The motion effect which is available for every video layer you use in Premier Pro was used to resize the flower and reposition it.
Color Correction Effects: Channel Mixer - This flowers colors were changed with one of the Premier Pro effects for color changes. This one was the channel mixer effect. The colors were changed to give it this white color with a tint of green.
Color Correction Effects: Brightness and contrast - was altered slightly.
Shine Effect: The shine effect was added to bring the still image to life a little. This is a really cool effect but is to hard top explain in a few lines. It is an effect you have to add to Adobe products and is also available for Final Cut Pro. It gives a glowing shining effect. See more about Shine Effects.
Front Of the Flower - Layer 5
 Layer 5 was put on last so that the sitting character looked like it was behind the flower.
Special Effects used:
Motion Effect: The motion effects were used to position the image in front of the guy.
Shine Effect: The shine effect was copied from the other flower layer and pasted on this on so that they were the same.
Special Effects on all layers
All the flower layers were and the guy sitting on the flower were grouped together and given a little movement so that they didn't seem so still. They were given a rocking movement and a slight sway.
Special Effects used:
Motion Effect: The motion effects were used to move the layers in relation to time.
