Special Effects - Character On The Flower - Layer 4

There were only 2 video clips that were filmed for this clip everything else was graphics manipulated. One was the fish and the other was the character. Characters will always be a major part of your pictures.

As a good camera man you must capture the characters clearly with good lighting. As a movie maker you must get the best shots from your characters by encouraging them and creating the feel for a scene.

Moon Special Effect - Layer 6

This clip was actually filmed in my bed. The was some black sheets behind me and the film lighting was on each side. See Film Lighting.

There was so many video effects added to this clip and getting it to match the color of the flower was tricky and took time

Special Effects used:

Motion Effect: The motion effect which allows you to adjust scale and position was used to resize and position the clip.

Color Correction Effects: The background was made completely black with brightness and contrast or levels.

Keying Effect: An effect called Keying was added to remove the black background. This was a little tricky because it also removed the black in the glasses. The result was you could see the lotus through the glasses when the dude was put over the flower. There are many different ways to remove backgrounds and they are usually done with keying special effects.

Color Correction Effects: Channel Mixer - was used to give it a slight green tint.

Opacity Effect: The Opacity was taken down slightly to give it a little ghosty feel and blend the colors.

Shine Effect: The shine effect was added. This is a really cool effect but is to hard top explain in a few lines. It is an effect you have to add to Adobe products and is also available for Final Cut Pro. It gives a glowing shining effect. See more about Shine Effects.
