How to make a movie - Checklist

1. Have the necessary equipment - This is not always expensive and can simply be your Digital Video Camera. For better quality movies you need better equipment but you can get by with the basics.

2. Have a clear plan. Know what you are going to be filming. You may just need to point and shoot at something in real life such as in documentaries or home videos or you may require something more complicated with actors and scripts.

3. Shoot your footage and shoot it well. Make sure your lighting is good and your shots are clear and interesting.

4. Edit your video and audio. This includes tidying up the footage, cutting and chopping the film in many places to sculpt a good picture, cleaning the audio, adding sound effects and adding special video effects.

5. Burn or convert your video on a format for others to watch. Of course you want others to see your movie so here are a number of different useful ways.
