What is 3 CCD what does it mean to you?
CCD stands for "Charge Coupled Device" and refers to the devices within the camcorder responsible for bringing light into the camcorder. When there is 3-CCD present in a digital camcorder 3 different chips process the colors, red, green and blue, separately. One chip for each color enables great color to be recorded and increases low level light recording clarity. So basically 3-CCD means excellent color.
