Possible reasons you cannot connect your camcorder to the computer

1. Software is usually needed to capture your video - usually comes with your computer and you get a different capture video software with your camcorder.

2. Your camcorder and computer must be connected properly with a USB cable or Firewire cable.

3. Your camcorder must be set for transfering the video. Many times camcorders have a play of record switch if it's on the wrong one your computer will not detect your camcorder. Try turning it off switching it to the other and turning it back on.

4. Sometimes you just have to turn the camcorder power off then back on for it to be recognized by your computer.
